Standard Bluetooth
Jumpwire speaks FTMS, the official Bluetooth profile for fitness machines, so apps that support it can connect without anything extra.
Coming soon
Jumpwire is a small box that plugs in between your fitness machine and its console. It adds standard Bluetooth, so the fitness apps you already use can follow your workout and, on supported machines, control it.
How it works
Two standard 3.5mm cables connect Jumpwire between your machine's sensor and its console. Your console keeps working just as it does today.
Your machine's power supply plugs into Jumpwire, which passes it straight through to the machine. One adapter powers both. It can also run from USB-C.
Install the package for your machine, then pair Jumpwire with any app that supports Bluetooth FTMS.
Features
Jumpwire speaks FTMS, the official Bluetooth profile for fitness machines, so apps that support it can connect without anything extra.
Distance, pace, cadence, calories, heart rate and time stream to your app as you train, depending on what your machine measures.
On supported machines, apps can start and stop workouts, change resistance, and set distance or time goals.
Open Jumpwire's web dashboard from any browser on your WiFi to see live stats and device status.
Jumpwire keeps its own software current. If an update ever fails, it rolls back to the version that worked.
Encrypted Bluetooth pairing works with newer phones, and Jumpwire remembers the devices you've paired.
Device packages Coming at launch
Jumpwire isn't built for one machine. A device package teaches it how your machine talks, and the rest just works. Install packages from Jumpwire's web dashboard or from the Jumpwire app for Android and iPhone.
Packages are open to third-party developers, so the machines people care about can be supported by the people who know them. Developer tools and documentation are on the way. Tick “I want to build device packages” when you join the waitlist to hear about them first.
